Outlook Publications

Welcome to
OUTLOOK

OUTLOOK was a semi-annual magazine that the Foundation for Self Leadership published to share news relevant to IFS, the IFS community, and developments relating to the Foundation. It was envisioned as an attempt to generate discussions within the community around issues and ideas of general interest and great impact.

The ultimate purpose of OUTLOOK was to support the Foundation’s mission of promoting the notion and agency of Self leadership. By naming it OUTLOOK, we hoped it would stand as a reminder that IFS is at once an external as much as an internal peace-seeking model, while holding a far-reaching view of the future.

The Foundation is grateful to Founding Publisher Toufic Hakim, PhD, Editor Michelle Glass, and Associate Editor Shaun Dempsey, PhD, who play key roles in its production; Sylvia Miller for layout and graphic design; Josh Liosjo, MS, for web programming and posting of online content; and many volunteers for proofreading, among them: Kira Freed, MA, BCC, LPC (ret.); Brenda Hollingsworth, MSW, LCSW; Karen Locke, MA; and Laura Taylor, JD, for proofreading.

After 14 issues, expanding in content and readership, the Foundation announced in June 2022 that a new fully online magazine was being launched. The first articles of PARTS & SELF were posted a few months later.
